Location: Denver, CO | Pay: Starting at $17/hour + Tips & Perks

Do you love dogs and the outdoors? Hike Doggie is seeking Dog Handlers to lead small groups of dogs on trails across the Denver area. You’ll provide exercise, socialization, and fun for our canine clients while enjoying Colorado’s beautiful scenery.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • 1–2 rotating Saturday shifts/month
  • Flexible daytime hours

What You’ll Do

  • Safely lead group hikes/walks (4–7 miles) with up to 4 large dogs
  • Transport dogs to and from trails
  • Keep dogs safe, hydrated, and happy on all terrains and weather conditions
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members
  • Use GPS and apps for navigation, scheduling, and photo updates

What We’re Looking For

  • Dog handling skills: Comfortable with dogs of all breeds/sizes; understand dog behavior
  • Physical fitness: Can hike 4–7 miles carrying up to 20 lbs, lift dogs up to 60 lbs
  • Reliability: On-time, responsible, and consistent
  • Transportation: Your own vehicle + clean driving record
  • Tech savvy: Smartphone with data plan; comfortable using GPS & apps
  • Communication: Friendly, clear, and professional with both people and pets
