Outdoor Adventure Job with Dogs

Location: Denver, CO | Pay: Starting at $17/hour + Tips & Perks

Love dogs? Love hiking? Combine both in a job where every day is an adventure. Hike Doggie is hiring Dog Hikers to lead small groups of dogs on scenic Colorado trails. You’ll give pups exercise, socialization, and joy—while enjoying the outdoors year-round.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • 1–2 rotating Saturday shifts/month
  • Flexible daytime hours

What You’ll Do

  • Lead safe, fun group hikes (4–7 miles) with up to 4 large dogs at a time
  • Transport dogs to and from trails in company vehicle
  • Keep dogs safe, hydrated, and happy on all terrains and in all weather
  • Communicate with clients and team members professionally
  • Use GPS and apps for navigation, scheduling, and photo updates

What We’re Looking For

  • Dog handling skills: Comfortable with dogs of all breeds/sizes; understand dog behavior
  • Physical fitness: Can hike 4–7 miles carrying up to 20 lbs, lift dogs up to 60 lbs
  • Reliability: On-time, responsible, and consistent
  • Transportation: Your own vehicle + clean driving record
  • Tech savvy: Smartphone with data plan; comfortable using GPS & apps
  • Communication: Friendly, clear, and professional with both people and pets
